Hi guys!
We just did our first BRACAnalysis collection here in the office. My question is how to bill for the collection?
The information I was given by the company was the following codes:
83891, 83898x81, 83904x81, 83912
S-code- S3820
and Analyte 81211
My issue with these are they appear to be the actual pathology/testing codes that would be done at the lab. We didn't do that, we just collected the sample. So... do I just chalk this up to a good deed done for the patient and not billable, or is there a code for the collection of a sample to be sent to a lab? I've found 99000 (Handling and/or conveyance of specimen for transfer from the physician's office to a laboratory). Would this be right?
