I just passed my CPC exam and I am looking to break into the medical field. I have tried applying for everything from receptionist jobs, medical records clerk, environmental associate jobs, to coding jobs. I am just trying to get my foot in the door and I am finding a closed door around every turn. Does anyone have any tips at all for landing a medical job?

sounds like you are doing everything right, you just have to keep at it. I broke in by being a receptionist, then volunteered to help our billing dept, which I then leveraged into a coding job.

the field is kinda over saturated right now, there are a lot of people swayed by the promise of big bucks and working from home.

sounds like you have the right attitude, keep sending resumes and your day will come. good luck!

My suggestion is attending your local Chapter Meetings and find networking opportunities; especially, from the AAPC Officiers, that's why they are elected.

Best Regards
