Question: A surgeon performs a breast biopsy but has a radiologist present for the stereotactic guidance portion of the service. Is it possible to bill Medicare for this service (19081) and then pay the radiologist a set amount per procedure for his portion of the service. The surgeon will not perform the procedure without the radiologist.
