14301 and 19318 do not have NCCI edits that would preclude the reporting of these 2 codes together. However, the description of 19318 includes removal of excess skin on the breast and breast skin/tissue rearrangement for closure. What would constitute the reporting of the additional skin/tissue rearrangement 14000-14301 that would allow for both codes being reported on the same breast. I personally feel that the rearrangement would be included in the reduction procedure and therefore- bundled even though the NCCI edits do not reflect that they are inclusive procedures. I would love to get feedback from other plastic surgery coders that may have more information regarding commonly bundled reconstruction procedures. Thank you!
