One of my breast surgeons asked if there was a way to maximize on reimbursement when performing surgery on a patient who is morbidly obese. She stated that the work done is usually more complex and elongates the time on the procedure. I was thinking Mod 22 can be added so long as the documentation is supporting but I was wondering if there are any other modifiers and/or codes that can highlight this extra work???
