Hey all :) Can anyone tell me where I can find info on what needs to be included in a brief encounter? (ex is when the pt comes into the office for just an injection, i.e immunizations etc)..thanks! :D
 
If the purpose of the encounter is to receive an injection, then you charge only the appropriate injection administration code. The brief visit is a component of the administration service.
 
If the question is regarding documentation, the provider of care would need document any pertinant findings relevant to the visit (example, vitals, INR, etc...).
