I bill a lot of bronchial lavage (31624) and brushings (31623) together in the bronchs I code, but have started getting denials for the 31623 as being bundled with 31624. The CPT code book does not note these procedures as bundled, and I did not run up against this denial prior to 2014.

Any help is appreciated!
 
Did you add the -59 modifier? CCI doesn't bundle it, but your other payers may. You might have to review their payment policies.
