I'm trying to determine what, if any, benefits are included in the CPT maternity code bundle if the woman has a complication related to the pregnancy during the postpartum period. For instance, does the bundle provide coverage for a woman who suffers a maternity-related aneurism during the postpartum period? Does the bundle cover her if she hemorrhages while she's in the hospital and has to have a longer stay and use more hospital and physician services? Would the bundle provide the coverage if the hemorrhage happened after she'd been discharged from the hospital but was still in the postpartum period of time?
