A pt comes into the ER with a fx that needs to be reduced. He gets an injection for pain before the reduction. Can that be billed seperately or is that bundled into the reduction? What if he gets an IV with antibiotics?
 
IV antibiotics is not considered part of the global Sx package and are billable separately..

The injection for pain is inclusive of the procedure for profee. Intra-operative services that are normally a usual and necessary part of a surgical procedure are inclusive of the surgery.

The facility side can bill for the injection.
