Hi, We did debridement of a full thickness burn. I used 11042 and Medicare will not pay that code for burn care. The 16000 codes are for partial thickness debridement. We did not do any skin grafts at this point. So how do I code this?

You don't have too many choices. The 11042---,or 1600---,or 97597---Doesn't sound like those fit though

A full thickness burn will need a graft at some point so look at the 15002 or 15004 codes these usually fit the operative note.
