Hello all! I have a question regarding billing out the CO2 Laser of Proliferative Burn Lesions. I need to know how others are coding these, particularly for patients that were seen originally for large burns of 250+ sq cm. The codes are: 17106; 17107; 17108 with temp codes: 0479T; 0480T
If you have a large area of scarring (about 1000 sq cm), are you using only one code or several. Or has your doctor provided any information regarding coding these for large burn scarring? I know that we can't share actual codes we use for our providers, but we are just trying to see if there is a different way of coding these large sequela burn areas.
