:confused: I have a patient that was admitted to inpatient care at 36 weeks due to premature rupture of membranes. She received subsequent care for day 2 and day 3. On day 4, she had a C-section delivery. She remained in the hospital for day 5 and was released on day 6.
Which of these 6 days should be included in the delivery package and/or the 4 days of inpatient E/M care?

Hospital charges are not included in global, only antepartum and postpartum visits are. You can bill for initial & subsequent visit w/ modifier 57 (must have progess notes from hospital) then the C/S 59510. :)
