Hi! Just need some help on how to code a patient who had a c section and 2 days later had to have surgery again because the wound separated?

Would this be a reimbursable surgery or is it considered part of the postpartum?

i appreciate any help!

For accurate responses to surgical coding questions, please post the scrubbed operative note.

I wouldneed to see the op note to be sure, but it is possible that you may have a billable procedure. Look at 12020, 12021 or 13160. As always this depends on documentation

And don't forget your modifier ...
