In what context are you seeing this? If on a radiology report, it could be considered an abnormal finding in diagnostic imaging (e.g. R93.7) if no more definitive diagnosis is associated with it. Or it could be a condition related to another diagnosis of the patient's spine (e.g. rheumatoid arthritis) if such a diagnosis has been made.
