I have a pt. that was scheduled for a VATS but needed cardiac clearance where it was found that he was in need of a CABG. The physician is going to dissect some of the lymph nodes for biopsy. Can that be billed as well?

Lisigirl directed me the last time regarding the usage of 38746 by STS. I know that one is listed as radical in the CPT but when I looked in the coding companion there is no mention of it being radical. I will watch this in the future. Thanks!

what about codes 38500-38525 those are listed as biopsy or excision of lymph nodes (depending on location) and attaching modifier -59 to let them know this was separate from the CABG.
