ASC surgery. Patient was preped and draped. Anesthesia was administered. A lid speculum was placed into the eye. Surgeon looked through microscope (was to perform lens exchange surgery due to dislocated lens) and saw that surgery needed to be done in conjunction with retina surgeon. Surgery was cancelled at this point by surgeon without having done more than look into the patients eye.

Can anything be billed? I know that 53/74 can be billed when the procdure was started and was then stopped due to patient health....not sure if this qualifies.
