On the Outpt lab slip, the Dr ordered a Urine Culture. For the dx, he writes the single word "burning". Is it safe to code this as 788.1 (dysuria/painful urination) or must the Dr be queried?? :confused:
Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

yep, painful urnination works for that...it's like a puzzle trying to put the pieces together with these doctors.
