Can a provider bill for lab codes(including urine drug test) and vaccine/admin codes if place of service is 10 or 2 (they are both telehealth).
If the provider orders labs and vaccines while seeing the patient via telehealth, can the provider bill these codes?
This is in the context of a commercial payer not CMS.

Where is the labwork being done? You bill the POS where patient physically goes to have the lab work performed. The ordering of the lab work is part of the MDM, not a billable charge.

Your statement "If the provider orders labs and vaccines while seeing the patient via telehealth, can the provider bill these codes?" is itself an answer. Provider can not bill the test If he only have ordered it. Ordering the test is the component of MDM for the E/M visit.
