When using the 3 stable chronic problems toward the History, can we still use the 1995 guidelines?

You cannot mix 95 and 97 guidelines. From all the workshops that I have been to the speakers/trainers say that the 3 chronics are used in the 97 guidelines. I hope this helps.

Check with your CMS carrier
Check with your carrier. SOME carriers DO allow you to use the status of 3 chronic/stable conditions (1997 guidelines), while using the 1995 exam guidelines.
