My physician performed a bilateral SI joint injection 27096 and a bilateral greater trochanteric bursa injection 20610. Our doctor's select their own codes and then I audit the charges before they are entered.

My inclination is that these two cannot be billed together because they are of the same anatomic location...is that correct?

It's really hard to say without seeing the documentation. There is a bundling edit, but a modifier can be used if appropriate.
