A pregnant woman who is not our patient is contemplating using one of our PCPs as the doctor for her unborn baby. She wants to come in to interview him to decide whether she wants to use him or not. I know you can bill for visits with parents when the child isn't present, but I can't imagine this works if the child isn't even born/our patient yet.

Has anyone encountered this situation before? Any advice is appreciated! Thank you!
