We bill for a Master Social Worker. Is it appropriate to bill 90807 when the patient has a New patient appointment with the MSW and a follow up with a MD the same day? Most insurance companies won't pay for 90801 and a 99213 the same day.
 
that should be fine, but I would use a 90801 for eval with MSW, not a 90807. I would check CCI edits, then append a modifier accordingly.
