I work in a urology office and today I was told we can't bill for psa screenings because we are a specialist and pcp's manage screenings. I can't find anything online that supports this "fact". Does anyone have any insights on this?

Have you asked the person who told you that to support their claim? It sounds like an internal policy for a multi-specialty group where the PCPs handle screening services, a specific payer's policy or perhaps they misinterpreted something they heard?
From a clinical perspective telling specialists they can't screen for conditions in their specialty doesn't make any sense. For example, no one tells colorectal specialists they can't perform CRC screens. (Or at least, I've never heard of that.)
