Patient presents to hospital in cardiac arrest. He is sucessfully resuscitated. The patient remains in the hospital for several days. Is it correct to use the I46.9 cardiac arrest code or to use the History of Cardiac Arrest, Z86.74, when coding for the remainder of the days of the stay? I am trying to determine when is it accurate to use the history of code....
