Can codes 92928 and 93458-26 be billed together ? I am seeing cci edits stating that these two codes are comprehensive column 1 codes. Modifier 26 is not one of the modifier s that would override this edit ? Please advise.

In response to your question, yes, they can be coded together, as long as documentation supports it.

The 26 modifier indicates that the charge is for the professional component (i.e. the cardiologist). In addition you would add a 59 or XU modifier to indicate that the 93458 was separate from the intervention.
