Hi, does anyone code for cardiac pets?
I am learning to code them in my department and I have a question for codes 78432 and 78433. The physician notes in the report the pt had a perfusion and metabolic evaluation done at rest only. I was given a chart that states 78432 and 78433 are coded for multiple studies (rest and stress) yet the CPT book only states dual radiotracer which they use rubidium and FDG-18. We are being asked to code it as 78430. I don't think we are coding these correctly. Does anyone have any input on this?
