Hey guys. I need help please! My question: When coding a Left heart cath and the dr does a PCI, can I code these together? I am getting a CCI edit that states these procedures can't be billed together. I've tried using modifiers but still get denials.

Yes, you can code the diagnostic cath with the PCI with modifier -59. But make sure the patient did not have a previous cath within 90 days, unless it's new chest pain. Also use vessel modifier when coding the PCI.
