How do you code cardiopulmonary syndrome? ICD-9 416.9 gives chronic cardiopulmonary disease, but I think syndromes can be transient depending on disease process, so this is probably not the right code. Resident Dx was: volume overload with CKD3 and HTN secondary to DM2, but the attending DX was cardiopulmonary syndrome.
