Hello,
We offer Behavioral Health Services, but are a cash pay only practice. We are not credentialed with any payers, and do not file to insurance. Since all patients pay for services up front, are we able to offer a different cash pay price to different patient populations? For example, our Medicaid patients tend to struggle to afford the fees we have set. Is it okay to have a "sliding scale," and offer a discounted price to different patients? What issues could we run into?
Thank you!
Kaytie
