Wiki casting and splinting

Having trouble getting paid for the casting/splinting for Amerihealth Caritas-Medicaid NC. Our podiatrist can't seem to get paid for the application short/long leg cast. Our orthopedic docs are getting paid but we are not getting paid for our podiatrist. What am I doing wrong?? CPT code 29405 and 29515 specifically.

Why are they denied? What is the reason code?

Is the casting being billed at the same time as fracture care or wound care or an injection?

if it is in a global period, you must add modifier 58 to the casting code.

I suspect this is a system error denial on the part of the payer. Splinting and casting during the post operative global period does not require a modifier and can be reported separately.
