Our practice has been around for 50+ years. We have previous refractive patients (Lasik, RK) who now need cataract surgery. Our physician is wanting to charge the professional refractive fee that we charge premium IOL patients (Restor, Toric) to these refractive patients even if they are getting a monofocal lens because of the extra work up due to them being previous surgical patients. I don't believe we can charge extra, but I cannot find anything to support my instinct. Help?
