Can a 75716, & 36246 be billed together if there is only one puncture site? I'm a little confused by the CPT guidelines under "Vascular Procedures, Aorta and Arteries." A therapeutic procedure is not being performed. Is the 36246 included in the 75716?

It can be billed if you have a situation like this. Rt femoral puncture, catheter placed in lt external or lt femoral artery. Contrast injected and imaging of lt leg performed. Catheter is then pulled back into rt iliac artery or injection through sheath that was placed in rt femoral artery. Imaging was performed. Catheter/sheath removed.

Hope that helps,
