I was wondering are other physicians billing 32550 with the use of VATS 32601? Are you getting paid? Should we bill together even if the 32601 has the "separate procedure" in the heading? I feel that it is being performed for "guidance" only and no true diagnostic procedure is being performed and feel we should not be billing. looking for others input, thank you.:confused: IS this billable but not payable? I have billed the VATS for a true diagnostic procedure prior to placing the catheter just wondering if we should be using the 32601 if it was only a guidance to place the catheter.
