Eventually I would like to sit for the CCS exam, I'm not as familiar with AHIMA and may have missed it on the site, I'm wondering about the ceu's, do they require as many as the AAPC for a CPC credential? Is there a difference between a member and non member as far as how many ceu's you need?

From what I heard AHIMA members its harder to get CEU's from what they told me. They told me AAPC members have it easier. And if I remember correctly they have to have their CEU's every year, I could be wrong on that so don't quote me on that.

Just wondering but if your a CPC why do you want to go for your CCS?
 
Gotcha, I was going to go for my CCS but than I got my CPC and I've have noticed around my area that a lot of companies want a CPC over a CCS. But like I said I believe the CEU's for CPC are earier to obtain than for CCS. I also think you have to have them every year where AAPC is every two years. But don't quote me on that because I could have heard it wrong too.
