I am looking for any material that is out there that will help in learning ED coding. Past years is fine. The only reference book I have found the the exam prep book. Does anyone have a used one they would like to sell or information, direction to get experience in coding ED without being in the department. I believe this is the direction I may want to go in. I love a challenge

There was an on line course on this site put together by Dr. Granovsky, an industry guru. i wrote a text in the 90s. Bit dated now!
Don't know of a really good text. The best training material tends to be the internal training manuals of companies that specialize in ED coding/billing, unfortunately you have to work there to get the text. There was also a good reference book published bt Ingenix call ed Emergency Medicine Coding Companion. Basically a CPT book with complete descriptions of ED procedures, not sure if is still published. But should be cheap ones on Amazon.
