Responsible for extracting Emergency Room data from the inpatient documents, so proper payment is released. Job discontinued due to a legislation bill that was passed in June.
• Perform Outpatient, Emergency Department and Procedural Coding for medical centers located in several different states.
• Code medical records with ICD-9, CPT-4, and HCPCS Level II coding, processing claims daily while maintaining accuracy and achieving productivity goals.
• Knowledge of Physician Access, Sorian, and Cerner Power Chart software system.
• Compliantly following CMS policies and the Federal Coding Guidelines to insure proper coding, billing and reimbursement.
