I have a patient that had a cervical fusion C5 to C7, 10 years ago. Patient now has issues at C4/5 and our Dr. would like to do cervical arthroplasty - 22856. LCD L38033 states that CDR is considered investigational if they have had a previous fusion at another level. Has anyone else had this situation? What is an alternative option?
