One of my providers had a patient with a cesarean scar ectopic pregnancy. He took her to the OR and, under ultrasound guidance, injected the fetus with KCl and Methotrexate to still the heartbeat. I am not able to find a code to bill this procedure. The description for multi-fetal reduction (59866) is exactly what was done but the patient has Medicaid which does not use unlisted codes, and 59866 is not on the MA fee schedule. Would anyone have any other recommendations for billing this procedure.
