We have an audiologist in our office and per Medicare the Audiologist is a provider. So for Medicare primary the claim goes under the audiologist and normally the secondary processes no problem even though the Audiologist is not considered a separate provider. Now I have one claim that denied because the audiologist is not registered as a provider and my COO is saying that "Everyone in the entire world changes the provider to bill it through to the secondary after medicare processes" This doesn't seem right, do you all do this?
