I jut join this new company and they ask patients who has a high deductible to pay $500 for ESI injections performed in ASC. PT complained it to UHC and we are told by UHC that we can only charge copay before any procedures. Is it legal to charge some deposit before the procedure?

I believe this varies based on your payor contract. I am not aware of any state or federal statute that would address this for commercial payors.
