I work for a Dr that is looking into drawing lab work in the office for his patients and sending it to a outside lab for processing but wants to have the lab send him a monthly bill and we bill the pt for the lab work. This would mainly be for self pay patients. The patients with insurance gets billed to the insurance.

Is this legal or does any other offices do this and how? I would appreciate any comments and suggestions.
