An 8 year old girl came into the physicians office with abdominal pain due to being constipated for five days after ingesting over 20 pieces of chewing gum. She was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
CT scan and x-rays showed mild constipation with no fecal obstruction. Doctor diagnosed the young girl with chewing gum overdose.


Curious as to how this would be coded? I cannot seem to find anything except code T50.901A
