I am auditing a Family Practice doc and the chief complaint is "here to establish". This doc continues with "History of Present Illness" and talks about all the problems the patient has. Can I get a certain level of an HPI with the chief complaint being "here to establish"? Thanks, Nancy

I am sorry but I do not understand your question. The chief complaint, by itself, doesn't determine the level of your HPI.

Can you explain further?
