Wiki Choosing E/M codes properly

Hi there,

I am wondering if there is a step by step guide to assigning E/M codes. I looked at using the audit sheets but it seems so confusing. Can someone offer any assistance please.

Have you tried using the CMS guides. FL Medicare website has an interactive one you can use, it's fairly simple to use.

A really great site to use is E&M Coding University, they have examples of every type of EM code and they break down examples of clinical notes.
