I have a dx of asthma, moderate, persistent and chronic bronchitis. The doc didn't actually state chronic asthmatic bronchitis, but is that essentially what it is? I'm thinking it should be coded J42 & J45.40. Is that right?
 
Yes, you are correct, as per ICD-10 coding guidelines chronic bronchitis is not included in asthma.
