Is it appropriate to report chronic knee pain as 719.46 with the 338.xx series?

Yes this is correct. 719.46. If the Provider just references "Chronic Knee Pain" we code a 338.29 with it. However, if the Provider say Knee pain with "Chronic Pain Syndrom" that is 338.4
