This should be easy...our doctor did a bilateral alveolar ridge/hard palate repair, meaning he repaired two areas in the alveolar ridge per the operative report. Does code 42205 encompass the bilateral repair or do we code a second 42205-59 for the other side? Basically I'm asking if 42205 is a bilateral or unilateral code, even though you technically can't bill with a -50...

I wouldn't do this as multiple, just once. Because they're talking about the palate, even though they do multiple incisions that is all part of that code. Hope this helps.
