provider puts diagnosis as non-healing skin lesion of nose. provider also codes this as L98.9. Why wouldnt it be L98.8? to me the provider did specify that it is a non-healing skin lesion. its not an unspecified lesion.

provider puts diagnosis as non-healing skin lesion of nose. provider also codes this as L98.9. Why wouldnt it be L98.8? to me the provider did specify that it is a non-healing skin lesion. its not an unspecified lesion.
I'm purely guessing here, but the provider probably meant that the lesion was of an unspecified type. "Non-healing" is not a type of lesion, it's just an adjective that describes the lesion in question.
