If the Doctor sees a new patient for closed non-displaced fracture and the office does not have the correct size cam boot so an order/prescription is given to the patient can the physician bill for closed fracture care?
Yes if it's correctly documented and the provider is going to be managing the care for the next 90 days. Do some research and see what fracture care consists of. It's not placing the cam boot on the patient, it's managing the fracture for 90 days.
