Are there any exceptions to assists by a CNP? Medicare has denied an assit on surgery code 29880?

I have this down as non-billable by Medicare. I know that under certain circumstances, documentation will help with payment, but we have just started billing Mod AS, and I am not certain what is required at this point, and if that code even qualifies... sorry.
